Data Fabric utilizes Microsoft data centres, and as long as the location is offered by Microsoft, Data Fabric can support it. Currently, Data Fabric supports the following locations:

  • Eastern US

  • Western Europe

  • Central Europe

  • Norway

More global locations can be added upon request. You can specify the location when creating a data storage, and different containers may use different data centres โ€“ i.e. it can be customer/project-specific.

There are no backups automatically made within the product Data Fabric because redundancy exists at Microsoft data centre storage level. We use Azure storage account General Purpose V2 with replication LRS (Please see this link for details, under section "Redundancy").

Data is copied synchronously three times within the primary region. Risk of data loss is low, as this requires an entire region to be lost.
