Veracity offers two methods you can use to enable two-factor authentication on your account: TOTP or SMS/Call. We strongly recommend TOTP as this is more secure and works even without mobile phone coverage.

TOTP works the following way:

1. You need an authenticator app on your phone that supports TOTP (e.g. Microsoft Authenticator or Google Authenticator).

2. You then need to register your Veracity account with the app (see more information under How do I enable two-factor authentication (2FA) on my profile? | Help Center | Veracity by DNV)

3. Once this is done, login to Veracity works the following way:

          a.        First you log in with your email address and password.

b. You will then be prompted with the following page:

c. You then need to open the authenticator app you have on your phone, find the record that has “Veracity” in the name and your email address should also be listed:

Example from Google Authenticator:

d. Type the number you see there into the “Enter your code” field on the screen and click on “Verify”.

e. And that’s it! Now you’ve successfully logged into Veracity with TOTP.
